Not sure what to say?

Our congregation extends our condolences to the Ewing Family. He was an inspiration and brought many to Christ. We thank God for his leadership. For those of us who knew him personally, he will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you!

My deepest sympathy to Harold's family. I have known him for many years through Clan Ewing activities. I would have liked to attend his service, but find I am unable. I assume his ashes will go to Hayesville Cemetery with Dorothy and the rest of his family. I can never thank him enough for doing the DNA test to prove we were related. Both our families came from Ashland County, OH and thought we were, but proof was better.
My prayers are with you as you say "Good bye" and celebrate...

Michael--I don't know how old you are but I am pretty sure that your Dad and mine (Dwight Smith Ewing) were first cousins. George and Walter were brothers. I remember your family visiting us in Merced, CA and having fun with 3 rambunctious boys. Most of the Ewings were Presbyterian so a family joke for us has always been that " Great Uncle Walter was the black sheep of the family . . . . . . he became a Methodist, you know" What a wonderful life your father had--I know that he and my...

Am so sorry to hear of Harold's passing. He used to stop in my store over the years and always left me smiling with his words of wisdom. Such a delightful minister, I always wanted to attend one of his services. My prayers are with you, his family. Rita Shisler, Shisler's Cheese House

I can say that I have known Harold Ewing, and his lovely wife, Dorothy, all of my life. Harold was the pastor of Christ United Methodist Church in Canton, Ohio when I was very young...He was the reason that my family became Methodists those many years ago. I have many fond memories of Harold and Dorothy and their sons, since our families always kept in touch through the years..Harold officiated at my baptism and marriage. Harold first introduced my parents and sister and I to Lakeside,Ohio;...

The Lakeside Association will always remember Dr. Ewing's years of faithful service and friendship. We are grateful for his many contributions and efforts to preserve Lakeside's spiritual heritage. You are in our prayers.

We join with many others who knew Harold in giving thanks for his long life, his leadeship, friendship and Christian witness. We send our sympathy and love to his family and close friends. Alva and Evelyn Taylor, Elyria, Oh.

I remember Dr. Ewing's service to the East Ohio United Methodist Foundation for many years. He was one of the founders and continued his support for staff and board members in their pursuit of the mission of the Foundation. His positive encouragement will be missed by many of his friends.

I consider Harold Ewing one of my mentors, a great encorager and a friend. We both served on the cabinet and both spent time in Painesville and both loved Lakeside. Clyde (Bud) and Suzanne Cox
