Not sure what to say?

Visiting with Mr. Froehlich last February is an experience I will treasure. His passion for creativity and problem solving was obvious to me, and will live on in all those he has inspired.

Bud Froehlich's passing is truly a loss to all of mankind and the end of an era. Over the years I would devour everything I saw about Alvin, wither it be a special on TV or an article in the newspaper. My Dad was the pattern maker who made the original model of "Alvin the Sea Pup". He closely worked with Bud at General Mills at the time of the project. I not only remember that time vividly, I also remember my Dad talking about the young engineer who was such a brilliant fine gentleman and...

Thanks to Nathan, I met Bud in Oelwein. I had just been diagnosed with 'MM' and Bud was an immense help with his immense knowledge of the disease. A most caring individual, he stopped by on each visit to Iowa to make sure I had "the latest". A most thorough man he had to be a leader in his profession. I was permitted a glimpse of a caring intelectual and the extent of your loss. May the Good Lord guide you all through this dark time.

Bob and Burdine Lee....... we will miss our dear cousin. He captured our hearts with his careing ways.

I had the privilege of working with Bud for many years while employed at 3M Surgical Products Division.
Bud was a brilliant engineer and designer, and a true gentleman.
I had not been in touch with Bud for several years, but will remember him fondly.

I just had a chance to visit with Bud this past February and have the opportunity to listen to him describe his experiences inventing new technologies over the last many years. I came away from this brief visit with the recognition that I had been in the presence of a very special man; a man of great creativity, passion and profound knowledge. His inventions have truly helped to shape the world that we live in today and I count myself lucky to have had a chance to meet him.

Bud was a genius not only for his inventions but in his passion to see those inventions come to pass. And the Alvin is proof of the pudding.

Bud Froehlich was a dear uncle. Some of the fondest memories of childhood were times spent with Bud and his family. He was one of the most positive people I've known, always interested in learning something new and sharing his talents and experiences with others. He was respected by so many for his intelligence and skills. His was a life well lived.
May you rest in God's gentle arms now Bud. We love you.
Love and condolences,

I was honored to be related to dear Bud. I have fond memories of our family get-togethers with Bud, Avanelle, Steve and Jane. Each time I spoke to Bud, I learned something...plus he was always interested in what I was doing, as well. Lately, via some letters he has written, and via the book "Water Baby: The Story of Alvin", I have realized the extent of the many God-given talents that he used so well.
He will surely be missed by many.

Love and condolences,
