Not sure what to say?

I just learn of the passing of long-standing bear he reached out to me in a restaurant on the east side of glacier national Park he made a profound impression on me

My family and I met Long Standing Bear Chief back when my oldest was about 5 and my youngest was about 3--17 years ago, now. Over about two hours, I learned from him that the Munroes have long been a part of Blackfoot history, and was encouraged by him to believe the stories of my family about our history. He was kind, patient, compassionate, gentle with my sons--listening to a dream of my 5-year-old, and kindly accepted a watercolor painting I had made for him as an expression of my...

I spoke to Cheif about bringing my father out to the Blackfoot nation, it was always a dream of his to return, sadly he passed before I was able to get him there, and am beyond sad to hear of the cheif's Passing as well. Wish I was able to meet him
In person. RIP-

During the mid/ 2000 The Chief & I were attempting to establish tourism programs for the Browning & Blsckfoot areas of Montana base of which was to aquire a restaurant in Browning / the Plan was genuine but the owner saw potential for herself / sadly never happened / a The Chef was a great human being !

Harold Gray brought self-determination in education to the Chippewa Cree People of Rocky Boys Reservation. I am honored to have had the opportunity to work with him for a little while. -- Dr. Rosemary Ann Blanchard, Albuquerque, NM.

Long Standing Bear Chief was a close friend and mentor over the last 11 years since I met him. We had lots of coffee and good talks together about indigenous issues. He stayed with my family overnight on his way to Port Angeles about 3 months before he passed. I am so sorry to learn he is gone (I only found out today) and we have prayed for his spirit tonight. I will always feel honored to have known him. Ni kso ku wah, Pikuni bro.

Iam a Lao Buddhist monk who have known Long Standing Bear Chief since 2002. He had embraced us as a universal family where we both shared the same vision of universal spiritual way of life.....We have become a spiritual brother....I have the privilege to visit the blackfoot nation in the year 2003 by the invitation of our belated LSBC...My dear brother you will always be missed and loved...
My condolences to The Gray family..

Many Blessings

Harold called me on Friday the day before he passed away and said, "Mr. Mayor, me and my group met and have decided to overtake your radio station. The music being played on there is very depressing and needs to be changed." I told him that the station is licensed to the Town and can't be easily transferred away, but I would be glad to discuss with he and his group doing a time block on it. I also let him know that we planned on adding classic rock along with the classic country pretty soon...

I enjoyed many conversations and experiences with Harold over the years. He will be missed. He was a great advocate for Indian country.
