Saddened and shocked on hearing of the death of my uncle Harold,I will miss the chats.

You will be greatly missed, Professor Halliday. I thoroughly enjoyed attending your classes. You were a great conversationalist and easy to learn from. I'll miss your down to earth nature and intriguing Irish accent. My deepest condolences to your family. RIP!

Harold genuinely cared about passing on his wisdom and knowledge to us, his students. He was patient, kind, and fair. His farewell party last year for his retirement was a beautiful way to remember his years of humble service to the university and beyond. God rest his soul and reward him for all the lives he enriched.

Harold was welcoming, kind and patient with me from the start until retirement . Harold was always willing to listen, and share his honest opinion and quick wit. He is going to be missed here but the angels are rejoicing to have him there with them.

Harold Halliday had the uncanny ability to make a student feel like they could accomplish anything. He was an educator, a mentor, and a friend. There are many memories that I will keep with me that include his smile and enthusiasm for educating. He taught me many skills that I use to this day in my career. I was incredibly sad to hear of his passing. He will be missed.

Harold was a dear sweet man who will be greatly missed. He loved my homemade strawberry jam and whenever he brought back the jar, it wasn't empty. He always filled it with Hershey's kisses. He will be greatly missed.
