We are saddened to learn of the passing of Rick's father. Please know that our sympathies are extended to the entire family, but most especially to Rick and Linda. Dealing with the death of a loved one is extremely difficult. We pray that the Heavenly Father has gathered you all in his arms and is sustaining you in this time of sorrow.

To the Hallstrand Family:

I have memories of a number of sports discussions with Dr. Hallstrand over many years at South Miami Hospital. I always saw him when I attended the UM baseball games. Many years ago when I was coaching a Khoury League team, Dr. Hallstrand came by to lend his experience to the kids--and to the coaches. He was a true gentleman!

Because I know you three the best, especially to Drs. David and to my high school classmate Pat, I am so sorry for your loss. ...

My sweet grandfather has left a beautiful, Christ-centered legacy that will be reflected in his children, grand-children, and great-grandchildren. We are a very close family because of Grandpa's letters, phone calls, and continued advice. In fact, I was advised several weeks ago as we spoke about life matters, and he gently guided me as a grown woman....I was so blessed to have been loved by Grandpa and will miss his solid wisdom, warm bear hugs, and wonderful wit. Dr. Hallstrand was my little league coach for many years. He truly cared about the his players and taught me many things about baseball as well as life. Coach Hallstrand was one of the few great men left on this earth and he will be greatly missed.

To the Hallstrand Family-
My wife Karen and I just want to send our heartfelt sympathy for your loss.
I was so fortunate to be able to call Hal my friend, he was such a great man. I always enjoyed his notes which I received as recently as last year, and I'm so glad I called him after receiving his last one and had the chance to chat for a while.
Please know that you're all in our thoughts and prayers-

Although I am a complete stranger, I found this man's life, Dr. Hallstrand, to be completely spell binding. What a wonderful man! I am certain he has and continues to touch so many lives.
