My heart was heavy when I read of Pastor Hamilton's passing. We had stayed in touch over many decades since he pastored Trinity Lutheran in Lawrence. He officiated at my parents' wedding. His son Jay was my brother Steve's best friend. Darlene was a close friend of my mother Edith. Pastor Hamilton taught my confirmation class.
