Harold Anderson "Hal" Hintze

I had the privilege of attending law school with Hal. We lived close and he served as ward clerk and I served as financial clerk. My last memory was floating the green river fishing with him. I caught so many fish my hands were very tired, he was successful with every endeavor he undertook. He created the best fly shop in the state at flaming gorge reservoir. It never occurred to me that you could pass away. You're too big of a person and personality. We dated for a while or whilst you are living at Sundance and your beautiful cabin. I still have the beautiful snake skin boots you bought me. You picked me up one time and a horse driven sleigh over the snow so we could get to the cabin, and of course you were the driver. You're so funny and I'm glad we remained friends. I still just can't believe you're not here.

There were times we would look up in the sky and say we should go ski. But then the snow would fly and we would look up in the sky and say we should go ski, in California

best story I heard growing up - was as the 'boys' shared a room - there was a responsibility to turn off the lights before going to bed... one evening - it was being argued whose turn it was - with Hal denying his part.. He solved the problem eventually by taking his BB gun and shooting out the light. Lights out...

I first met Hal when I was 21 years old working at his then law firm for his partner Walt Plumb. I never tired of Hal's one liners and great stories and he always kept us in stiches. 15 years later Hal handled a critical legal issue for me that at first looked to be a very black cloud on my future. Hal was my seminary teacher in Chandler, AZ, 1964-65. I loved his classes. I babysat for him & Pat. Fun memories. I've often wondered where their adventures took them when they left Chandler. Sorry to hear of his passing.
