Not sure what to say?

My name is SFC Jason S. Rosenthal. My Father-n-Law is SGT Charlie N. See. Charlie called me today asking if I could help him in finding some contact information for CSM Hockenberry. I did some initial research on the web and came across the obituary notice. I had to tell Charlie that CSM Hockenberry had passed away. I have been married to Charlie's daughter Tara, for two years and have known Tara since I was 12 years old. Charlie and I talk a lot about the Army and his stories and...

Barbara - I was saddened to hear of Lee's passing. I worked with Lee for many years, first when I was with other agencies and finally when I became manager of the Atlanta OPM office. Not only was Lee the consumate professional, he also had deep insight and wisdom which he freely shared. Lee made my transition to OPM a joy, always offering friendship, support and wise council. It was an honor to work with him and a great satisfaction to see his pride when he received the excellence award...

Very nice man. Helped us out a lot when we lived on the Arsenal. Dorothy was his insurance Agent with Geico. Doug is a Retired SGM who also remember him.

What a wonderful man! Barbara and I work together at the FOL bookstore and that is where I met Lee. He was always gracious and filled my place when I could not work my scheduled shift. I will miss his kindness. He was a good man.

Want to express my deepest s sympathy to the family. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I worked with Lee at the Office of Personnel Management for 5 1/2 years. He was a wonderful and kind person.

He will definitely be missed.

To Barbara and Family, I managed the Atlanta Voting Rights Program for over 20 years and that is where I first met Lee. I knew right away what a jewel he was. When I would ask for volunteers from Huntsville, if Lee's name was not on the list, I immediately called to "name request" him. He was truly a dedicated, hard working, and professional civil servant following his tremendous Army Career. Over the years of working with Lee, he became a good friend. He always spoke so fondly of his...

A few years ago, Uncle Lee called and gave me courage to face a difficult surgery. He had endured the same to restore his full sight. My right eyesight was saved. I will never forget his thoughtful encouragement--or how he loved us all. He took us to see the Ukranian orchestra and the Space Museum when we visited. Jeff and I miss him. I'm praying for Aunt Barbara and all his children and theirs that they will find comfort in having been so blessed, and in faith that now he will be joining...

Dear Barbara, I am terribly sorry to learn of Lee's passing. Over the past couple of years, I have thoroughly enjoyed playing bridge with him each Monday and Tuesday morning. As you know there isn't much idle chatter at our bridge tables but, even so, I have always been impressed with the way Lee carried himself. One of the last true gentlemen I am afraid. My sympathies are with you. We will all miss Lee.

We will miss our sweet gentle Uncle Lee. We were truly blessed to have him in our lives. Love and hugs to dear Aunt Barbara, Jon, Sharon and families. Cousin Sheila Hockenberry Kerschner, Tom, and family
