Homan, Harold M. age 71, of Maple Grove, much loved husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend, lost his long fight with kidney disease on Feb. 4, 2008. Harold retired in 1996 as AVP and Chief Accountant from ITT Hartford. He especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren, golfing, bowling, traveling, and volunteering. Preceded in death by parents, Charles and Pauline; twin brother, Darrell; brothers, Marce, Don, and Everett. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 39 years, Shirley; children, Cheryl (Doug) Lutmer, Kris (Jeff) Miller, and Dan; siblings, Marv, Delores DeGreeff, and Pat Haegle (his kidney donor); grandchildren, Nathan and Braeden Lutmer, and Marissa Miller; and many other family and friends. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Chruch, 9100 93rd Ave., Brooklyn Park. Interment St. Vincent's Cemetery, Osseo. Visitation 4-8 PM Wednesday, with a KC Rosary & prayer service at 7 PM at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 34 Second St. NE, Osseo. Visitation also 1 hour prior to mass at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the National Kidney Foundation. Evans-Nordby 763-424-4000

I remember Mr. Homan from when he lived across the street from my family in Thorp WI. I am sorry for your loss and have you in my prayers.

I will always have many great memories of Harold. I was lucky enough to spend a lot of time around the Homan family while I was growing up as a close friend of Dan's. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Shirley: I am so sad to hear of Harold's passing. It was a pleasure knowing him and working with him during my years at ITT Life. I will always remember his cheerful, positive attitude whenever we would meet at church or out and about in Maple Grove. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Harold was such a good friend to everybody he assosciated with. He overcame all his problems with a wonderful positive approach to life. I enjoyed working with him at the Auto Auction and Bowling at Sundance. My sympathy to his family. My faith tells me he is in a much better place with no more pain.
