This is how I Remember Chief Hooks: As a Leader of Men who looked out for his own.
"Chief" was my boss during the Marine Corps & I really liked him. A great man who took me under his wing & aided a lot of folks. I was truly sorry to hear he had to go & guard the Streets of Heaven, but I'm glad he is there. I've included a photo of him while in the field over in California, for *that* is how I remember him: strong, giving orders, and protecting his men from . .. well, everything he could.
Give my love to all the family as he was a great leader to many, and as a military...

Please accept our sincere regret over the loss of Harold. My acquaintance with him began in the Marine Reserve Unit in 1961 and continued through the years. He was an honorable man with deep devotion to our Country. We need more men like him. Jim Blanchard
