Hal was a colleague, mentor, and friend. His impact on the Netter School of Medicine, and its students and faculty, is immeasurable. I will miss him greatly.

I'm so very sorry for the families loss of this wonderful man .I had the pleasure of knowing him since 1974 when I was brought into emergency at MWH ..he was my Gi Dr for many many years ,He saved my life on more than one occasion, I'm so ever grateful for him in many ways ,he was friendly ,compassionate as well as the best professional Physician I've ever known .I missed him when he retired ,but left me in good hands .I will always hold him close to my heart .

His was a good life. Hal was a kind and caring man, a fine doctor, a great mentor, and a good friend. He´ll be missed and remembered by many.
