Not sure what to say?

What a wonderful man with great intellect and a very kind heart. It's been several years since he's been gone, but he will never be forgotten. His family must have been very blessed with his presence and great character, and I was very fortunate to have known him for a space in time. May the memories he left you with, give you great comfort in the years ahead.

Words cannot express my sadness. Hal was a wonderful, thoughtful, and loving man, and I will miss so much about him, not the least of which is his abiding presence over these many years.

Farewell, true and trusted soul mate.

The loss of someone so close is almost impossible to bear. I share your family's grief. My prayers are with them; my heart is with you.

Rest well, dear one. Meet you at J. Cotten's.

Saddened beyond words that you're no longer with me. I so wish we could have completed our plans. I'll be looking at the moon, but I'll be seeing you. ...

This last year and our time together were magical. I miss you, Boy Scout; you fought a good fight. Mind-to-mind,heart-to-heart,soul-to-soul,as promised, always. Deepest sympathy to the family.

Like Sheridan, Hal got off the ground. I shall miss a unique and joyous friend.

I had the privilege of not only working with Hal, but also had the good fortune of being one of his students in an undergraduate writing course at LSUS. He was a great writer, had a great sense of humor and did a wonderful job with the classes he taught. What a talent? My deepest sympathies to his family.

You will be missed. Love you Hal.

In loving memory of a very special man.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I miss you, Pinky.
