From a Canadian historian who served with Harold on the Board of the Historical Society of the Episcopal Church.. . Harold was an exciting preacher, a gifted scholar, and a prophetic voice. What a blessing he was to the Episcopal Church, and well beyond. Thank you, Harold, for all that you were and all that you gave to others.

The Rev. Dr. Lewis baptized me on January 11, 2015, the night before my 24th birthday, while Interim Rector at St. Paul's in Cleveland Heights. Leading up to it, we had many wonderful conversations about Episcopal theology in his office. He was a brilliant man. I am so sorry to hear about his passing.
