I had the pleasure of having Mr. Marchand for English and Study Hall. His classes were great and he was always willing to go the extra mile to make it interesting! He was one who obviously had a passion for teaching! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family!

Mr. Marchand was the greatest teacher and most influential adult in my life. I began to study under him then 7th grade in which was I think the first Latin class that was approved by the North Canton City Schools.

To Mr. Marchand's family: I am very sorry for your loss. I have very happy memories of three years of Latin classes with Mr. Marchand at Hoover High School, starting 51 years ago. He was a superb teacher! It is hard to capture his spirit in words, but he radiated a generous, positive energy that was driven by his faith.
