Uncle Harold escorts our bridal party 10/5/2002

Aunt Judy, Curt and Jennifer,
I am so sad to hear about Uncle Harold! Rob and I will never forget the grand entrance he made escorting us to our wedding while playing the bagpipes. People still talk about it today! I am so happy to have that memory forever! I wish we all had spent more time together. You all are in my prayers!! All my love...

Aunt Judy,

I am sorry to learn of Uncle Harold's passing. I was unaware that he was ill, and am sorry for that as well. I wish that we all had spent more time together over the years. You and Curt and Jennifer are in my thoughts and prayers.

Judy:
I am so very sad to hear of Harold's passing. He was such a geniunely nice person who always made me feel happy when I was around him. I will truly miss my May 13th birthday friend and I will remember him fondly forever.

If there is anything that we can do to help you, please let us know. I wish we had not let so much time pass since our last visit with you.
Love,

Judy and kids,
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. I have said that the world needs a million Harold Markhams. He was a wonderful man and I always enjoyed his company. I will keep our family memories close to my heart and know that I have, yet another angel to watch over me. God Bless you all. All my love, Jackie

In sympathy,

We
just learned about Harold's passing, and as sad as the news is, it
generated such wonderful memories!
My husband David Boyer and I spent many winters with Harold, at the
scene in Town Hall during Yuletide Tours at Genesee Country Museum.
Harold would pipe in each tour grounp - sometimes as many as 15 - 20 on
a Saturday, every 15-20 minutes. The first few years Town Hall was only
warmed by a Franklin Stove. Those of us in ballgowns and trousers and
frockcoats...
