Harold Mast

I had the great privilege and honor of serving with Capt. Mast at the GR Naval and Marine Corp. Reserve Center. He truly was an Officer and a Gentleman. My sincere condolences to His Family. Robert Schneckenberger HT Chief Retired

I'll remember Harold's kind and caring demeanor. He was a gentle soul who was alway interested in how others were doing. He would regularly ask me how my business was doing. Harold was a Godly man and it showed in the way he lived. He will be missed.

I had the honor of knowing and working with then City Commissioner Mast when I served as the Kentwood Police Chief from 1987 through 1991. At that time the city was struggling with the problems of providing police, fire and emergency medicine with a very limited millage. Although voted upon millageincreases would ultimately allow those services to develop to their current levels, the road we travelled to get here was difficult and controversial.
