Not sure what to say?

I am so saddened that Doug has passed. I happened to look him up and found that he passed at the beginning of Covid in our country. Over four years ago now. I am late to the table but I have to say that is a beautiful obituary and so very true. I met Doug in 1976 out in Grand Junction, Colorado. He chatted with me and then said, "I´ve known you 15 minutes now. Wanna get married?" He made me laugh til I cried multiple times. Such a good heart and a rock solid man. Strong. Decisive....

Doug always had a quick wit and clever remark. He brought joy to peoples lives through his humor.
Doug was always such a strong character who lit up a room with his presence and friendliness and funny stories.
Remember him so well for so many good times at the "Bone", Finnigan's, Breakwaters, St John's Club.
He loved sharing fun and good times with his many, many friends he made wherever he went.
He will be missed.

My condolences to the family. Doug was our neighbor when we lived in South Burlington and he was the sweetest, most caring and outgoing man. He always made us laugh. He will be missed.

I miss you brother! You were so often my go to person when things got tough. You knew how to bring sense into my anxious thoughts. I know you will still help me during tough times, even if I can't hear your voice on the phone. Until we meet again, I love you.

Doug, my brother, I can't say enough about how much you were loved and how much you will be missed by so many. You did an excellent job raising your daughter. She was the apple of your eye and still is. You will be together again some day, but I know you are walking beside her in spirit and keeping her safe. You got your wings now and I know you are at peace. I love you.
