Not sure what to say?

Harold was great to work with.

Harold was my older brother and one whom I loved and looked up to all my life. We loved to hunt, fish and play golf together and had many good times. I miss him very much. Brother Bob

My two older brothers were child hood friends with Dr. Miller. I left Woodstock in 1953. However, our mother was treated by him on several occassions. She thought the world of him and often referred to him as "the Dr who saved my life". May God comfort all who morn his passing.

To Brother Harold:
"Thinking of You"
I'll think of you whenever I see a bass swirl in the Shenandoah River at evening time.
I'll think of you whenever I see a full moon climbing high above the Massanutten Mountains when day is done.
I'll think of you when playing golf with brothers Dick and Gerald and remember those happy times four brothers shared.
I'll think of you during a warm summer shower and remember those happy days when we laughed together while...

My parents, Bob and Mary Kadel, were proud to know Dr. Miller. He was a great help to them, especially as they got older. And the whole family is still thankful for the miraculous job he did reattaching Frank's thumb when he shot it off! They don't make 'em like Dr. Miller anymore!

Dear Miller Family:
Dr. Harold was an amazing man who possessed so many fine qualities. I was blessed to have known him both through my friendship with Mary Susan in high school and when I worked in admissions at the hospital in the early 1970's while I was in college. He was kind, caring, and compassionate as well as at the very top of his profession. With today's specializations in medicine we can only wonder how he was able to do all he did for our commuity, and do it so well. ...

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Paul and I had heard of Dr. Miller’s reputation as a caring and capable surgeon before we moved to Woodstock in the 1980s. We came to know him as a great neighbor. We have many fond memories of our time living next door. The world is a sadder place with his passing.

We offer our sincerest condolences to Joan, Ramsey and the rest of his family.

Joan & Family,
Dr. Harold was without a shadow of a doubt the best surgeon in Shenandoah County. His bedside manner was one of a kind. He always made you feel so at ease. He will be greatly missed by everyone. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Joan, please call if there is anything I can do. Nancy
