Not sure what to say?

On the third anniversary of Harold's Passing, we will still miss Harold. Our thoughts and prayers continue for his family and friends - especially his and our "Galax Family". Friends Of The Potts Creek, Rodney Rex Gearheart

In two weeks, all of us will be thinking of Harold and missing him as we walk up those steps under the "Big Yeller Tent". Peace and love to his and our "Galax Family". Friends Of The Potts Creek band, Rodney Gearheart.

I am so sorry to hear about Harold I can see him now stepping out from behind the curtain at Fairview and waving his hand to encourage applause for the band. I will miss him.

So very sorry to hear about Harold...he was a lovely person...sending prayers

Harold was a gentleman. I met him in the 80s. We worked at a mobile home lot in Galax. Harold took me under his wing. We went to so many different places listening to Bluegrass and enjoying ourselves. Harold and his wife were like family to us. The stories he told will remain in our hearts forever. We will miss hearing them in person. The town of Galax has lost a good man, a wonderful MC, and we have lost a good friend. Rest in peace.

Harold was my friend for many many years. And did more than anyone to help my music when I was 1st starting. It is a sadder world that Harold leaves for us... but he leaves a Great example of how we should treat each other. My prayers are with Darylene and CM and all of his friends

What a gentleman. And a sweetheart.

With great respect, we express our sympathy to your family. Harold was well-loved and admired and will be missed by this community and beyond.

Galax and bluegrass without Harold is hard to fathom. He and my father worked together at WBOB in the booth for a number of years, which is where I first met him. I had planned to go see him the next time I was in town.
RIP Harold Mitchell.
