Not sure what to say?

You were one of my favorite people Uncle Harold. I rember well the visits to your fruit farm in Washington. Lanny and I ate way too many cherries from the warehouse and paid the price!

My uncle Harold was the first father I remembered. My own father had died when I was a year and a half old, and my mother (Margaret Kafer) and I stayed with her sister Helen, and her husband Harold, when I was little. I loved him, and I am more sad than I can say that he's gone. I'm very glad that I had the opportunity to tell him what he'd meant to me a few months ago.

He was a good and generous man, and he deserves the rest and peace that are now his.

I'm sorry to hear about Uncle Harold's passing. He was always fun to talk to and I enjoyed his sense of humor. I have a tape of Helen telling how she met Harold and his little comments are hilarious. My favorite is when she said she had to wait until the returned missionaries stood up to see who was tall enough and she picked Harold "because he had suffering in his eyes" and your dad interjected, "Oh that wasn't it, it was because I had a car!"
Our prayers are with all of you.

I'm thinking of your family at this time. I never met him, but Michael relayed some memories of him, and I hope that your family will find a measure of peace and strength.
