Not sure what to say?

I will always remember him with great fondness. He was a good man, well read, an interesting conversation. A quick wit with a great sense of humor and fun to be with. I always enjoyed speaking with him. I was grateful for his support back in 2005-2006 when my folks were ill and failing. I especially appreciated that, despite the years and the miles between us, he always thought to ask about my family and how my now grown children were. I am sorry that his later years were not as kind ti him...

To Harold, my original Papa. I lived next door to you in my first house. I loved you and “Siva” so much and to this day I haven’t forgotten either of you. Chris was my first friend. What a lovely family you all are. Much love. Sara Mitchell

We are so very sad to hear of Harold's passing. He was a lovely man, and made a huge impression on everyone who met him. (I first met him as a young Irish student in 1980 in Hamden when I was staying with my sister Helen and brother-in-law Bruce who were his neighbors- I loved going next door for a few beers and laughs- he was so funny, kind and interesting, and I loved the banter between Harold and Sylvia). He was truly unique- the obituary captures him so beautifully. Our deepest sympathies...

We have such happy memories of our days living beside Harold and Sylvia in Hamden Ct.
They were true friends to us and we developed a life long friendship with them.
Harold was a wonderful man and we will always remember him.
We send our deepest sympathy to Dickie, Bobbie, Chris and their families
