Not sure what to say?

A gentleman by nature and a true friend to all he met.

Both myself and my wife Barbara Kosco Loeper enjoyed hals wit and charm when we worked at WSBA in the 1970s. He was a true gentelmen and a great radio personality. His kind are few and far between. May he rest in peace.

I recall Hal on KISN in Portland I was 8 yrs old. I had him on while getting ready for school. I Recall Mrs Bee ready the school lunch menu. I recall him doing Kisn Action Central News as well.Later while visiting grandparents I heard him on KAYO in Seattle. I wished I could have heard him more times. Last year he and I exchanged an email or two. I express my sympathy to you all.

Many of us will always remember the morning show of Hal's, especially the "Good Morning song" as we got our chidren up for school. Our sympathy to all the family and friends.

Buff,
Iwas saddened to hear of you and your families loss. I know times have been hard for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I'm sorry I never met your "Hal". It sounds like he was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.
Take care Buff, and treasure all your beautiful memories in your photo albums.

Buff,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Your husband sounds like he was a great guy, how blessed you were to have 45 years together. Such memories you must have to cherish!

Our family wishes to send our sincere condolences to the family of Hal. He was always a gracious and good-humored gentleman during the nine years I worked at WSBA. He was also a consummate broadcaster and entertainer. Some of us have heard brief recordings of Hal's excellent work in the classic Top 40 era at KBOX in Dallas, and at Storz station WDGY in Minneapolis. Special wishes to his son Kevin, with whom I worked in Pennsylvania and Maryland two decades ago.

Hal was a pleasure to work with
and I count myself fortunate
to have had hal on staff for
several years when at WOYK.
Broadcasters like Hal are few
and far between today..He was
one of the finest our area has
known. I count my self fortunate
to have worked with him.
Deepest sympathies to family
and friends.
