Dr. Nord was born on September 23, 1955 and passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018. Dr. Nord was a resident of Bloomington, Illinois at the time of passing. Dr. Nord was a 1973 graduate of Normal Community High School, Illinois State University and University of Illinois Medical School and was an OBGYN in the Bloomington-Normal community for 31 years. Interment will be at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Eastview Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haitian Christian Ministries or Eastview Christian Church.

Our deepest thoughts of sympathy are with the Nord family. Harold was a medical school colleague and his kindness and sincerity will never be forgotten. He was deeply rooted in the Bloomington community even at that stage in his life. I'm sure he left a rich legacy there. God Bless his family.

Dr. Harold will always hold a special place in my heart. He worked together with my other doctors and was the one who discovered that I was pregnant with triplets. He was encouraging, supportive and rejoicing with me. His deep faith and kindness were a hallmark of his life. Im praying for his family and for all of us who are deeply saddened by this loss. And, Im rejoicing with Dr. Harold as I am convicted that he is celebrating with the Lord.

Words cannot express the sadness I felt when I saw the loss of such a compassionate and wonderful physician and teacher. Dr. Harold Nord has done so much for so many and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those whose lives he has touched. My prayers go out to your family, especially in such a time and at such a loss.
