Harold Oaklander lived an amazing and amazingly long life. His passion to attack unemployment and assist the unemployed remains inspiring. I mention his work every time I teach short-time compensation as an unemployment-insurance benefit that prevents layoffs, if only employers would use it. Harold´s legacy will continue to inspire others for decades to come.
