Harold J. Russell

I had the honor of being able to call Harold my friend for many years and later when I married my husband came to know & love Harold as I did. Harold & Betty attended my wedding. We later spent time in Tampa with them and will treasure the stories and memories of those visits. To all the folks & family he left behind our sincere sympathy in "our" loss. Harold thanks for giving us the Best Years of Our Lives!

I had the great honor of calling Harold Russell my boss and my friend. He was a very special person who wanted nothing for himself, only to fight the good fight to gain full integration of persons with disabilities into the mainstream of American life.

Sleep well my friend you where the best.

Harold will be missed by so many people, especially his grandchildren from his second marriage of 20 years to Betty Russell of Hyannis formally of Needham. Harold was the most amazing man I have ever known.
Harold, we all will miss you greatly for you were a great part of all of our lives.

Please accept my deepest sympathy.. Mr. Russell was a kind man, he spent time with my brother William Anderson who also lost his hands in an accident in the 70. He will be remember by me bot as an actor but a man with a warm and caring heart.

Harold Russell gave a truly magnificent movie perrformance in: "The Best Years Of Our Lives"
and was a courageous inspiration to all Americans. A book on "War Movies" called the scene in "Best
Years" where he shows his sweetheart
