I am so sad to hear of the passing of my cousin. He was so brilliant and a mensch! Condolences to Jeannette and Abbott.

I am saddened to learn of Harold Segel's passing. He was a colleague and a friend at Columbia. I shall never forget his kindness toward me, and his encouragement, when I was a young instructor at the Institute on East Central Europe.
