Dear Harold, In 1988 we first me in Paris, you gave the dream to go to Japan, which i did, we met in Japan Several times and you always motivated me with your artwork stories and poems... you will be greatly missed until we meet in universe 37 one day. Rest in Peace dearest Hal and now you are united with Yasue-san Love W.

Hal framed several of my paintings and drawings and I purchased art he sold as part of his charitable work. He took tremendous care in selecting the perfect mounting and frame. His attention to detail and kind demeanor were remarkable. I am sad to hear about his passing and send my love to his family.

I'm truly saddened by Hal and Yasue's passing. What a delightful couple that I had the honor of meeting many years ago when I assisted them with their home purchase. Hal shared some of his print work with me over the years and they will always be considered treasures and kept on display. They were both brilliant and filled with joy and life. The world has lost two amazing people. I will remember them always.

I'm so sorry to hear about Hal. He was a friend of the IELC @UNR. For many years, he would participate in our Conversation Partner program. He was a great conversation partner and the students loved to be paired with him. He would stop by and chat with me on occasion and we would talk about teaching and ESL. He will be missed.
