"To Velma & the Sylvester Family"- Our sincere condolences and prayers go out to you all at this difficult time. Brother Harold was a tireless and diligent volunteer in his gracious endeavors to assist the church and the community. He will be greatly missed. Mark & Beverly Taylor & family (Washington, DC)

Today, as the world mourned Michael Jackson, we at the same time mourned our own Harold Sylvester, Sr. at St. Joseph the Worker in Marrero. He was a kind and honorable man. My fondest memory of Mr. Sylvestor is from 10 years ago after back surgery when he paid a visit to my home to cut my hair on behalf of my brother Knights. My first and only house call from a barber - priceless! Rest In Peace, Sir Knight. Love to Ms. Velma and all the family.
