Thank you for your service to your Lord, your country, your local church and Rest Haven Homes, Inc. You will be missed. Don Grob.

so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. Your dad was a very special man. May God comfort all of the family at this difficult time.

Harold Van Asselt leaves a legacy of what is best in a husband, father, and
grandfather: a loving, serving Christian man! Everyone and place Harold's life touched from the Marine Corps, to family, job, community, church, and his last years in a retirement home, Harold found ways to reach others and to enrich their lives! His warmth and joy has had a ripple effect that will continue after him in the hearts and lives of everyone blessed by him!

Please accept our sympathy for your dad as he has gone to be with the Lord. We have warm memories of both Shirley and Harold from our days at Bethany and lived not far from them. Always remember them being so willing to give us a ride to church on Wednesday night when Jerry was working and we didn't have a car available so I could take the boys. So thankful for them. He will be missed but is now with your mom and sister. Pray God will be with you during this time.

Steve and Dave,

I have many fond memories of your dad given all the time my family spent with yours. I especially remember his great laugh! May you find comfort in all the memories you have of him.

Dear Steve, Dave and family members:
Sincere sympathy to you in the loss of
Harold. It was my joy to be one of his
pastors at Bethany and Orchard Hill.
He was also my golfing partner for
several years.
He had a deep and genuine faith that
honored God and blessed others.
He has left a wonderful legacy to your
families and the many, many lives he
touched.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
In Christ's love,
