To my husband & best friend,

Your presence is with me daily and the love we shared will forever be in my heart.

Farwell for now my love.

Until me meet again your loving wife Karen.

Karen,
I never met Hal but saw his picture on your desk at Eckerd. As I mentioned before, you were a very faithful and loving wife, attending to his needs. Now, I pray that your faith in God will strengthen you at this time. With deepest sympathy.

Karen,
You are in my prayers. I only met Hal a couple of times, but through our talks at Eckerd, I know how much he will be missed by you and your family. May God Bless!

Mom,
There are no words to say that will take any of this hurt away, but know that I love you and I am here for you anytime of day or night. You and Hal were both very blessed to have found the love of your life in each other, and had so many years together. You are in my thoughts and prayers everyday. I love you dearly mom!

I never had the honor of meeting Hal personally but felt I "knew" him through Karen. Karen and I have been friends for a long time and my heart aches for her.
Karen, I continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I know in my heart that Hal will always be walking beside you. Please allow yourself to take whatever steps your heart needs you to take. You don't have to be strong for everyone. If there is anything I can do for you please let me know.

Hal, we miss you, our gracious and friendly neighbor! You and Karen welcomed us next door 4 years ago. So many times you invited us in to sit down and chat. You loved your home and Karen!

Hal was a very loving Grandpa. He always had great concern for Casey's well being! Even when the Alzheimers set in, he always remembered Casey! Casey and I will miss him deeply! May he rest now in God's loving arms. Ann & Casey VanPolen

Karen,
I only met Hal once at the Rose & Crown, but I feel like I've known you both through Pam. Also, because Hal and my Mom share(d) this horrific disease called Alzheimer's. I also know that you were always by his side taking wonderful care of him.
He was certainly blessed to have you. I know you will miss him terribly. My best to you as you go forward with your life.
