I will always remember Hal in all the best ways. He was always a good friend to me. He often stopped to visit when he was out tending the bank along the "Canal". He turned the bank into a park like setting that all of his neighbors could enjoy...indeed a very giving thing to do. Hal, I think of you often. You were a good friend and neighbor, and I miss and think of you often.

I will never forget you Hal! Each time I enjoy our canal and the wildlife in it, I will think of you. I can't quite find the right words to say, but I think this poem describes how I feel and the wonderful life you led. God Bless You!

A life well-lived is a precious gift
Of hope and strength and grace
