Not sure what to say?

We are so sorry to hear about Skip. Rich just read about in the mason´s magazine. It was a shock to hear the news. Please accept our heart felt condolences. Mary and Rich Hayes

So sorry to hear about Skip. He was a good friend of my dad and helped him in so many ways especially as he got older. For years they met for weekly 'business' breakfasts, even after they didn't have much business going on. We will be thinking about the family.

Saddened almost beyond words to here of Skips passing. He was a huge influence on my early years and the lessons I learned at the bus garage and construction company have served me well through the rest of my life. I last saw Skip at Luke's a few years ago. since then I have been in FL several times, but always on the wrong coast and in a hurry. Seems there was always "next year" to swing into Englewood to see Skip and Marty. Another sad reminder that next year might be too late. Back in...

Condolences to the Wheeler family. My family lived on nearby Country Club Rd for 4 years. I worked a summer for Skip's paving company between college years in 1966. All the many values I learned from Skip and his paving crew became a part of my own life, for which I am forever grateful. Rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to the Wheeler Family at the time of Mr. Wheeler's passing. Not sure I ever really knew what Skip and our father, Bob August, were up to over the years together but it was a lot. And riding Skip's buses to school, band and sporting events was an integral part of growing up in the Avon community.

my condolences go out to the family a beautiful person with a heart of gold riheavenly gone but never forgotten a legend

To The Wheeler Extended Family, my condolences on "Skip's" passing. Everyday, I watch the Dattco buses everyday and think of your dad's legacy here in Avon. Your dad started the bus business when the Class of '81 and '82 were just infants, many not living yet in Avon.

To the Wheeler family please except my sincere condolences. Skip was a good man who I very much respect and am grateful for. My dad drove bus for him for many years and was always treated fairly and well. I drove bus for Skip and worked for his construction company as well. Skip was tough, fair and did things right the old school way. I learned a few life lessons from Skip, Thank you and may Skip rest in peace

Our condolences to all of Skip's family. He was a kind neighbor of ours years ago when we lived next door to him in Avon.
