Not sure what to say?

Thank you all for the kind words and memories. I am honored to be a part of his family and may his integrity and love of Michigan be carried on through my children and his Grandchildren. We love and miss you Pops.

Hal and Jim Burrell were among my best friends and greatest mentors during the 60s and 70s. May he rest in peace. Patrick Dignan

In my 28 years as Executive Director of the Michigan Alumni Assn. I never met a person that better personified the title of a "Michigan Man " than Hal Wilson. As a family man, alumni professional colleague, and most importantly as a friend, Hal represented all that is meaningful in the phrase " Leaders and Best." He will be remembered as a man of those qualities that we all seek and few acquire.

For several football seasons after arriving at Michigan 17 years ago I have the wonderful privilege of sitting next to Hal at home football games. It was like sitting at the feet of the master. He had such a vast knowledge of all things Michigan and was willing to share it in such a humble way. I learned a great deal from him and have always considered him to be a great mentor. I will miss Hal very much.

It's said, "A person is known by the company they keep." I never had the pleasure of meeting Hal, but in talking to a multitude of his friends and admirers, his life as a Michigan Man serves as an inspiration.

Many good memories Uncle Hal
