Bro. Ray was an amazing individual and an outstanding preacher. I remember him well and often refer to him in my ministry. The thing that really stuck out to me and has encouraged me in my ministry was his scripture memorization. I attended Calera Baptist Church as a teen and Bro. Ray served as interim for us in the late 80's. When he presented his text he would present the entire chapter from memory. What a mind, what a love for his Savior. What an inspiration to us all.
