A private, graveside celebration of life service will be held for Mrs. Harolyn Andrea Daniels Gunn of Tampa, FL who passed away after a courageous 5 month battle on May 1 st , the 57 th  wedding anniversary of her late parents.  Reverend Dr. Glenn Dames, Allen Temple AME Church, officiating. Harolyn was born October 6, 1963 to the late Harold and JoAnn Daniels in Tampa, Florida. She was a lifelong member of Allen Temple AME Church.  Educated in Hillsborough County, she graduated from Tampa Bay Tech High School C/O 1981.  She attended Job Corps in Gainesville.  Harolyn’s career was in the mortgage industry with Chase, HSBC and lastly Planet Home Lending as a Bankruptcy Specialist.


Her life centered around her children, grandkids, family, friends and co-workers.  Passionate football fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Florida State University.  Music, TV, traveling and entertaining brought joy to her life.  Harolyn was a proud football mom of Tennessee State University and Grambling State University, traveling the country to attend her son’s games with her late husband and local football legend Carlton Gunn and family.


Preceded in death by wonderful parents, Harold and JoAnn Daniels; loving husband, Carlton W. Gunn; sister, Jane Jolly; aunts, Mary L. Williams and Dentis Robinson Dudley; nephew, Tyrie Gunn.

For your convenience and safety, we have extended our visitation hours. Extended visitation will be held on Friday, May 15th, from 3 – 8 PM at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida.

Ms. Harolyn, you always had a kind and generous spirit. I admired and respected your no-nonsense attitude. You never missed an opportunity to say something nice, do something good or share something positive. You're a blessing and appreciated so much. Rest in peace, my friend.

Harolyn was a beautiful young lady .She carried herself like a Christen Lady at all Times.

The Angels welcomed my dear friend Harolyn with open wings. She was one of the most loving persons I was privileged to meet. I will truly miss you Harolyn!

God rest my prodigious childhood friend. May you receive your glorious reward in heaven for a lifetime of service to the Lord. Although it is very difficult to say goodbye, my thoughts of our Lifetime of Friendship will Never be forgotten. I will always cherish your memory in my heart!!!!
