Harper used to tell me we lived "parallel lives", just 20 years apart. I am almost exactly 20 years older than him, am married, and have 2 daughters with a similar age spread of his two daughters. We would often discuss our roles as dads and what it to be a dad and the responsibility that came with it. We developed a strong bond and friendship.
