Not sure what to say?

Sis and Ned Hayes were Oregon icons who supported so many worthy projects across the state. They were staunch supporters of the Ray Atkeson Memorial down in Bend, OR and were always cheering me behind the scenes. Truly a loss for Oregon. My sincere condolences to the family. They represent an end of an era in so many ways.

Hi Ann and Peter,
I was sad to hear of your mother's passing. I live mostly in Arizona now and now that I'm friends on Facebook with Sarah Mason, she told me of the gathering. Sorry I missed it. Your mother was such an inspiration to me. I remember fondly our time up in the Victory Garden. It helped get me through many sad times in my life.
I hope you are well. Fondly, Laney

Ned and Sis were two of our favorites. Great laughs always They are both missed.

A wonderful neighbor and friend. I am sure Sage and Elvis were waiting to welcome you.

I did sometimes...

What a sad surprise to hear about Sis today. She was one of the first people I met when I moved to Portland in 1960. She was always a joy to be around. I will miss her! My condolences to her children and grandchildren. I know she leaves a huge hole in their lives!

I am fortunate to be the neighbor kid Sis favored with so many lessons. She even unearthed my sense of humor. I'm convinced she considered me special, though no doubt there are many others who thought the same.
