Not sure what to say?

I loved your Mom´s warmth & welcoming attitude. Found reading her history just now, very impressive. May your loving memories comfort for during this time of reminder of her passing.

Scott and Lyndall, I think of you often and have wanted to come back to see you for years and I still look back fondly on the winter Maizie and I worked with you. I hope everyone is well, and I am sorry for your loss.

Deepest sympathy from the entire Herzog Family. We lost our dear mom, Genevieve, 89, just a few days before, on February 11, 2011. Harriet was always a delight at Ski Inn and she was like my second mom. She will be greatly missed.

Cliff, So sorry for your loss. Hope you are well. Priscilla

Dear Lyndall and Clifford, i worked for your parents from dec.1967 to feb.1968 as a chambermaid . I was sorry to learn of the death of your father and your mother, though she lived a good long life and your father too, who I seem to remember was quite a bit older than your mother. Good to know that you are still living locally and running the lodge. Yrs sincerely, Melanie Birkett [nee Synge]

Lyndall, So very sorry to hear about your Mother. She lived a long , and productive life. I remember her when coming to your house as a child and her giving my Dad instructions on how to do this and that. My thoughts are with you Lyndall. Take care of yourself. Always, Bonnie Houston (Arlington,TX)

Dear Lyndall and Cliff:

Your parents made our Christmas and February vacations very special throughout our high school and college years. My younger sister and I always looked forward to coming up to Stowe and the warmth of the Ski Inn. As adults, we continue to ski in Vermont every winter. Please accept our condolences and know that many, many people have fond memories of your mother and father and the special world they created.

Lyndall I was so sorry to hear that your mother passed away but I know she had a wonderful life and she gave so much of herself to others. What an interesting person and a good friend. I remember when my mother(who loved Harriet) and I came to visit in 1990 or thereabouts. I wish I could have spent more time with her. Kathy Whitley ( Kathleen Heintz)

Dear Clifford, Lyndall and Scott, I was so saddened when I learned of Harriet's passing. For some reason she took a shine to me when I first stayed at the Inn in 1972 - never having skied she insisted on teaching me ar the Toll House after a few days of lessons - what a scene I not really knowing what I was doing and she in her cape, fur hat and my polls - using them to make me stand up straight!!! Mike and Connie Cone still chuckle when we think of all the adventures we had at the Inn. ...
