Dearest Coke

My fond memories of days "cruising the lake" with several pontoons "joined at the hip" will keep my memories of you and Harriett vivid in my mind. Her laugh and immense love when she said "Cokie" also live forever in my memory and I pray that God will keep you and your loved ones uplifted during this time of grief. A life well-lived is a life to cherish and celebrate.

We returned from a trip to discover that Harriet had died.

She worked with my father and he always considred her a great cop. I know that she always did her job with a professionalism and grace that are all too rare. She was one of my favorite officers.

I know you all will miss her. You all have my sympathey and I will remember you all in my prayers

I tried to come up with some elegant words to describe what my Grandma Dear meant to me, but being the stubborn and recluse grandchild I came up empty. So then I thought about maybe something from Maya Angelou like Phenomenal Women, and as beautiful as my Grandma Dear is, she was far more than a Phenomenal Women. Or better yet the poem “And Still I Rise” but then again, with all that she accomplished that didn’t describe it either. Grandma Dear did so much, and meant so much, to so many...

Dear Carole and Stephanie,my love and prayers go to you and all your family at this sad time.I have never forgotten the time I met your mother and grandmother.I was so impressed with her and her life and felt very honoured to talk to her. What a wonderful legacy she leaves. You were truly blessed to have her in your family life.

Carolyn, Stephanie, Dewey & family,
Our sympathies go out to you and we will continue to hold you up in prayer, that God may give you the peace and strength you need.

I only saw her twice but I could tell by the way Steph talked about her that twice was more than enough to know that she was Some Kind of Wonderful. Steph, mom, grandad, Dew, & family you were all blessed with her presence and now it's her turn to enjoy her riches in heaven. You looked out for her and now she's lookin' out for you. Love

GrandmaDear, Thank you for the love and advice you so freely gave. I pray that your poise and grace will carry on through all of us left behind. I am eternally grateful for the family you created that has loved me and BJ in the likeness of you. Your battle is over and now we will fight on until God brings us together again. Give love to Cheril Mom, Umpy and Joe for me. KeliMaj
