Not sure what to say?

I was fortunate enough to be one of the people involved in Harriet's care at MDAnderson. She was indeed a special lady and had a great support group of friends. I am sorry to hear of her death for all those who loved her but I am glad for Harriet that she is no longer in pain. I am sure she is in a much better place.

What can I say about Harriet that hasn't already been said? When I think of her I think of eating spaghetti at the Greek Orthadox Church on Thursdays, I think of her horses Sophie and Hot Shot as the loves of her life, that she went to high school with Tommie Lee Jones and I think of a beautiful person inside and out.

Harriet, say hello to my great grandmother for me, she'll be the plump lady eating watermelon.

Harriet was such a warm and friendly person that all who knew her will truly miss her. She touched lives in a very positive way.

I used to work in a dental office and I had the pleasure of meeting Harriet when she came in as a new patient. I always enjoyed talking with her and hearing about how her day was going. I never forgot her friendly smile and beautiful salt and pepper hair. I feel honored to have met her.

Happy Harriet (April 2007)

Life lessons sometimes happen in the most unexpected places. My friend and sister in Christ, Harriet, taught me a great lesson as I watched her friends, from all walks of life, some she had known for over 50 years, gather around her bedside over the last few weeks. She taught me that the measure of a life is perhaps not in how well we LIVED but how well we LOVED! Thank you, Harriet, for loving so many so well. Thank you for including me in that wonderful circle of those you called 'friend'....

Harriet was my friend for only the last five short years, but I will never forget how warm and sincerly caring she was. She was hired to work in the Legal Department's Emerging Business group at Conoco and I had the pleasure of mentoring her and working closely with her for a couple of years. She fit in our group immediately, was a great team player and always willing to do whatever it took to get any job done. After the merger with Phillips, we didn't work in the same group, but when we...

I remember waltzing with Harriet in the parking lot at R&B on my last day, as we sang "Some Day My Prince Will Come." When I learned of her passing, the first thing that came to mind was that her Prince had indeed come. I know she is having a ball in our Lord's mansion in heaven. Thanks for your love and laughter, Harriet!

I had the pleasure of meeting and visiting with Harriett on many occasions during our time in Finance/Legal. Harriett was a bright and shining star that ALWAYS had a warm greeting and smile. I will truly miss her presence among us. I feel wonderfully Blessed to have known her.
