One of the last of the old-time "ladies" left, although I spotted a few at her service...lot of memories. She always remembered me and my parents. Bernice Skinner Askins, my husband's 90 year old cousin, has a story about her, when she started teaching at Amanda Elementary and I think she had something to do with her wedding. So many do have stories. She stood up for what she believed - admirable quality. So glad to see her at Lauren's grad. party. She was the same as I always remembered her....

Our thoughts are with you all. We remember "Aunt Harriet" with great love. We were having dinner tonight with Mark's parents and we were all remembering different "Aunt Harriet" stories...all of them funny, filled with love, and always with Harriet "in charge"!! Dear John, Dick, and David, my sister Elizabeth and I remember your mother with fondness. She was always good to us as neighborhood kids playing with you at your house.
