To the Karowe family,

To the family of Harris Karowe,

Harris was one of the nicest men I've ever been in contact with. Always a gentleman, even on the racquetball court. Being 16 years younger, I used to defeat Harris quite a bit, but he always smiled and said good game. I remember him beating me badly once and I thought, "oh, boy'' here's where he gives it to me. He walked up, put his arm around me and said, ''I was lucky, you played better than I did.''
I really loved that man,

Dr. Karowe brought the true meaning to Gentle Man. I was a patient of his for approximately a year. I have never met such a brilliant man. He was on top of everything and was an expert in his field. He was a gift in my life and he will be missed tremendously. I had a scheduled appointment with him today and feel so lost already. I was always greeted with a warm friendly smile and I always left with the same. My prayers go to the Karowe family. I am sorry I could not make the memorial...

My heartfelt condolences to the Karowe family. Harris (known appropriately by Matt’s friends as Dr. Karowe) was such a compassionate, intelligent person – he surely has left his mark on this world and with all of you.

TO THE KAROWE FAMILY,IM SO SORRY TO HEAR OF HIS PASSING, I HAD BEEN A PATIENT OF HIS FOR SOME YEARS AND WHEN I WAS FINALLY OK IT WAS SAD TO NOT SEE HIM ANYMORE,HE WAS SUCH A GOOD MAN,HE ALWAYS SPOKE SO HIGHLY OF HIS FAMILY......I LOVED THE SETTING OF HIS OFFICE,WITH THE BEAUTIFUL YARD AND IT WAS SO PEACEFUL ALONG WITH HIS GENTLE VOICE.......I ALWAYS REMEBERED HIS BDAY WAS VAKENTINES DAY AND I WOULD ALWAYS WISH HIM A HAPPY BDAY!!! AND TENNIS,HE JUST COULDNT GET ENOUGH OF THAT!!! HE EVEN SAID...

Dr. Karowe was my doctor for the last 10 years and helped me through some of the most difficult times of my life. I don't know of any other doctor in his specialty who was as accessible as he was nor who took a full hour with his clients, taking great personal interest in my life. He was probably one of the wisest people I've ever known, capable of great compassion, impeccable memory, and an infectious smile and sense of humor. His loss leaves a gigantic hole in my life, and I am thankful...

To all the Karowes, especially Stevie: I am so sorry to hear about your loss and know you will miss Harris deeply. What a lovely man he was, and I will never forget his gigantic freezer of ice cream! My thoughts are with you.

I would like to express my condolences to the family of Dr. Karowe. I have been a patient of his for about 6 years, maybe more. He was a gentle, kind man who's strength was an inspiration to me. I just spoke to him last week and was deeply saddened to hear about his passing. He enjoyed talking to me about his love for tennis and I was surprised to read that he was 86 years old! I thought he was in his late 60's!!! He was so vibrant! I will miss him dearly and I know he is in a peaceful place...
