I tried cases before Judge Alexander in DC Superior Court in the 1970's. He could be intimidating and demanding. But there is no argument that he was a brilliant Jurist. God bless.

Condolences to my Alexander & Cahn cousins. My parents did meet Judge Harry T. Alexander, but I think that I never had that honor. I read he was a great man leaving shoes hard to fill.
I have been given the task of pulling the family trees together and I will add Harry's information to the ancestral family tree files along with his parents and grandparents.
Need to remember our roots!

Judge Alexander,
I am going to the cemetary carrying a rock & a note for your children. Agnes says the place is huge. Should i get lost between "Section 70 & Rock 239" they will have this:
It is a Judaic custom to leave a rock or pebble after visiting the grave of a loved one. The story is that in Biblical times my ancestors would leave notes for the deceased. They pushed the messages into crevices on the headstone just as they are on the Western Wall in Jerusalem....

I grew up hearing my father Edgar Algere' sing the praises of his friend Harry Alexander. Now, from my readings about Judge Alexander, I understand why my father thought so highly of him.
You are in our thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time.
