Not sure what to say?

Thanks, Mr. Banfield for changing this little inner city girl, into a better person, and believer of Christ. Thanks also for taking us to a place of beauty and hope, giving us a job which helped us learn the meaning of responsibility. I'll always love and remember you. Rest in heavenly peace. Elberta.

I am just learning of Rev. Banfield's passing. He was a great man of God. My brother and I have many great memories from attending the City Mission in the 70s. Rev. Banfield was a big part of these wonderful memories. I often wished that my children could have the same experiences. We have attended Christian Camps. However, none could hold a candle to Rev. Banfield, The City Mission, and Grand Valley Ranch. However, I did pass along many of the teachings and songs that I got from my...

I would like to send my deepest sympathy to the family and to say Mr Banfield changed my life, when he came and picked us up to take me and my sis to the city mission. It was the best place ever.we were taught God's words and the values of our lives. We had fun also while we were there. The best thing ever was the grand valley ranch camp, I was a waitress, lol making a real pay check, thanks to Mr Banfield. Till this day I'm tight on money.lol. I was baptized and I'm here to tell you I cried...

So many memories of this kind, soft spoken Godly man that our family loved so very much! I remember your wedding, my baptism (thank you) in keeney´s pond, so many memories I will carry till we meet again in Heaven! Our love and prayers always for you Barb!

Wonderful man

I will never forget Harry Banfield. He made my childhood fun. I loved going to the City Mission learning about God and having fun at the same time. Harry used to pick us up every Wednesday evening. We would eat, learn about God, and then si g praise songs and play before we head back on the bus to go home. Summers were great too. We would go to Harry´s camp. I remember eating a green apple from the tree that we would pass on our way to breakfast. We had to clean our plates as a competition...

Reverend Banfield Baptized me at the age of fourteen, at the Grand Valley Ranch camp. Even though throughout my life I remember attending church as a toddler with my parents who were also raised in the church and come from a long line of preachers and gospel singers. My parents wanted us to choose to be baptized rather than them choosing for us as there parents did. I thank them for doing this, by giving me the chance to explore that experience by letting me go to the City Mission in...

Harry was a one of kind person. He always told others that they could do better. He showed so much love to us that we began to call him Uncle Harry. I want to thank Barb and his family for sharing him with me. He will forever remain in my heart. Christine Greenlee Lamb

My memories of Mr. Banfield was as a child him picking up the inner city children for bible study at the City Mission on West 3rd. and Summer camp and Banquets. He brought so much joy to everyone he can in contact with. He will be truly missed and my deepest sympathies goes out to his wife during this time of bereavement.
