Not sure what to say?

For over 40 years I admired and respected and thought of him very affectionately because he always had a special smile and no matter where he was he stop what he did and come out and gave me a hug that was my uncle Harry

Harry was one of the first people I met when we joined the Y in 1974. All the previous posts are spot on. He was a kind, friendly, interesting guy and will be missed by all who knew him.

Our hearts go out Harry and his family. We have known Harry and his family since we moved to La Jolla in 1965, he was our Pharmacist and a very dear friend to us. Being a member of the La Jolla Y since the early 70's I used to play volley ball with Harry and was always on his team in the evenings at the Y. We grew up with his children and have fond memories of our times together at the Y, Scripps Elementary, Muirlands Jr High and La Jolla High. I will miss your smile Harry and you will...

I was lucky enough to meet Amy Boyajian in high school. Through her, I got a job in her parents La Jolla Shores Pharmacy. What an impact this man made in my life as a teenager and young adult! Kind, generous, extremely hard working and a great sense of humor were such strong characteristics. Customers were extended family and often asked for his guidance. I am 62 yrs old now and look back at the times I ran into him in La Jolla through the decades... how his sense of humor endured along...

Harry brought a smile to my face every time I saw him at the Y. Always greeted me with a hug or a high five. He was a special person. I share the same first name with his daughter, Amy, so he never forgot me! I am so sorry for your loss. I was hoping to see him after the Y started opening up again, alas thar will not happen. I loved his Old Guys Rule t-shirt.

I am so sad to hear this news. Harry was my all-time favorite Y member. He attended my aerobics classes for a good 20 years. He was always happy and full of energy - I can still see him moving to the music. My favorite memories however were when he sang at the end of class every year on his birthday. We would do our cool down stretch while he sang and I cried every year. He sang "The Way You Look Tonight" at my farewell party a few years ago and I watch the video often. I loved your...

I first met Harry during the Y's annual support campaign..this is when we found out that he lived in the same cul-de-sac as my husbands family and knew my in laws well..as well as participated in hauling the kids to school..After that revelation, we never met without a hug and a kiss..Oh Harry..My life was blessed by that twinkle in you eyes . You will be sorely missed.

Harry gave me my first job, and I remember him as such a kind man, energetic and athletic, caring and thoughtful, a devoted husband, and interested in the lives of everyone he came in contact with. He will truly be missed. My sincere condolences to his family.
