My sincerest condolences on your loss. Although I never new Captain Caldwell personally, he was a member of U.S. SUBMARINE VETERANS Groton Base when I was the Base Commander. He was a Life Member of our organization and a member of the prestigious HOLLAND CLUB recognizing over 50 years of being Qualified in Submarines.

He was a Brother of the Phin and no doubt a proud American who served his country in the U.S. Navy.
