Not sure what to say?

This is a plaque that management at Food lion put up behind the meat case Daddy worked at in his memory.

Dear Terri, Kelly and mom Shirley, We never had the pleasure of meeting your Dad and Husband, but have heard and read all wonderful memories he left for so many. Being friends with Terri, and have met Kelly on many occassions, we feel his legend continues to grow and touch others thru his daughters. With our sympathies, The Pucketts(horseclan)

Our thougths, love and prayers are with the Chewning family. Corky was a true friend, always with a smile. He will be greatly missed.

Kelley,

I am so sorry and shocked to hear about your father. I know you are a close knit family and you are hurting. He was a great guy and everyone thought a lot of him. Please forgive me for not being there at the funeral home. Unfortunately I did not hear about it in time. I am out of the Food Lion loop. But please know my prayers are with you and your family.

I didn't know Harry, but have heard nothing but good about him. I work with his brother, Melvin, at the Vinton Moose Lodge and he is a wonderful person too. Heartfelt sympathies to the whole family.

Shirley, Terri and Kelly,

I am very sorry to hear about Corky's passing. My thought's and prayers are with you all. He will be greatly missed.

Shirley, I am so sorry to hear about Corky. My memories go way back to when he was a patient at the dental office, and you were the first person I met when I moved to Vinton. Michael & I were reflecting last night about when he used to come visit Kelly & bring his guitar. Corky would always want to play it! Terry was one of Ron Ernest's (my son-in-law) favorite students.
Please call if you need anything. I'm close by. Polina Bowers
