Harry D. Conkey II

We lived on 6th Street and 10th Avenue in Mendota just a short distance away from Harry's 5th Street home. I was several years younger than Harry and he was the icon of the neighborhood. At one time my mother was Harry's father's secretary. When I was a teenager I worked on the "Bomb Line" at CONCO. (The Bomb Line made practice bombs for the USAF) Barbara and I would occasionally see Harry and his family at Rips on a Sunday afternoon. Believe they showed up in motor home. Our condolences...

With all the news worthy events currently happening around us and now this. Harry has left us. He was the best of men, a friend, and something special for everyone.

To his wonderful family my deepest sorrow. Much adjustment will be needed to cope with this eternal event.

On the positive side...."even this loss and sadness will grow less in due time.
