Not sure what to say?

Bill Derr was my first supervisor when I arrived at Nellis Air Force Base in January 1969. He was an excellent supervisor and friend. I met his family, an outstanding family. I found his contact information on the internet in early 2013 and gave him a call. It was great hearing his voice again. You are missed,Bill.

I didn't know him very long but he was a very loving and caring father. He always made me laugh when he would ask me why I called people honey, darling, and sweetie. I would tell him that is how we talk in the south.

I didn't know Michael's pop very long but I came to know and love him. He would always make fun of me because I was from the south and the way I talked. Heaven has gained a new Angel he will be missed by all who came to know and loved him and I am one of many.

So very sorry to have missed the funeral. Bill always, always had a smile for me even while he was in so much pain. Loved watching you both dance! A beautiful man all the way through. He will most definitely be missed. Love to you, Joan.

What a lovely obituary and tribute to Bill. We will miss his lovely smile around St. Mary Magdalen. We are thankful for his service to our country and our parish. He will be missed. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family. We pray that God may give you the peace that you seek.

Sorry to hear this. I have a passion for golf too and would play with Bill at Kaufman Golf course. He not only was a terrific golfer but always willing to learn more and very respectful of people. They don't come much nicer than Bill. We will all miss you Bud.

Goodbye to the only grandfather I ever had. Miss you!

We love you and will miss you deeply. You will always be in our hearts.

Uncle Bill's energized, upbeat spirit will be missed. His fire drills, kidding and silly antics will be in our memories forever
