Harry Farris

Dr. Farris was a very special person. He was our veterinarian until he retired, and my sister, Katy, was his receptionist for years, and very much enjoyed working with him. He came to visit Katy in her last weeks, when she was dying from cancer, and put a smile on her face. Later, he bought an old Model T Ford Pickup from my Dad, restored it beautifully, then called us and gave us a ride in it. He was a very kind, generous man. I'll never forget you, Dr. Farris, rest in peace.

I remember Doc Farris always being so kind to me when I was a young boy growing up in the same neighborhood as he and his family. He owned an old car, a Ford Model T perhaps? I vas very young but I had a love for the car. When I was old enough he began giving me rides in the car and was so incredibly helpful in explaining how everything worked. These memories bring tears to my eyes...
